Maverick Trading™ was established in 1988 by four stock traders from different areas of the market. Maverick Trading™ started a traditional brokerage and had one of the very first presences in the emerging internet trading boom in the late 1990’s. During this time, the company was featured in publications such as Stocks & Commodities™, Salt Lake Tribune™, and even Playboy™ magazine. During those years, Maverick Trading™ recognized a huge need to educate and mentor their current brokerage clients as many traders would open accounts and begin trading. However, without any knowledge or prior experience trading the financial markets, many of them were unsuccessful in their pursuit of mastering the market and generating profits. So, Maverick Trading™ developed their own proprietary trading system and began to train their current clients in the world of stock market trading and managing risk. Soon, the training business became bigger than the brokerage business and in 2003, Maverick Trading™ sold their brokerage business to Terra Nova Trading LLC™ out of Chicago to focus on their stock, option, and Forex training courses that are now taught around the world. Maverick Trading™ now operates an extensive program of stock and option classes featuring their award winning Trading Room™ (rated best online trading system/webinar in 2008 by tradermonthlyonline.com).
